For the month of August we hosted six girls from the World Racers in Chibuto.
They lived in tents and used latrines and bucket baths – much to there delight! They asked if they could experience the simple life of Africa to gain an understanding and appreciation for the way of life and culture.

The World Racers group is an outstanding ministry that sends groups of teens and young-adults on a round-the-world-race for 11 months to 11 different countries where they simply be the hands and feet of Jesus.
We were nervous about hosting them, we just simply didn’t know what to expect. We were stop number nine and looking forward to hearing their stories thus far.
The month went so fast and we all had a blast.
It was so great hearing their stories about their trip around the world, to hear the highs and lows, the good and bad experiences and how God used them and meet with them individually and ministered to their hearts.
It was a huge blessing to have them, to get to know them and have so much fun. They helped the builders bundle the caniso for a house, ministered in the church in Khongolote and in Chibuto on Sundays and with the women and youth and the prayer and fasting meetings, went on outreaches, slept in a village, bucket-bathed, used a latrine, travelled by Mozambican public transport, survived a rural hospital visit and encountered some very large bugs, also they helped us plant two churches and taught some of the kids how to play basket-ball.
It was a very busy month and we are all exhausted but sad to see them go.
